| RAWHIDE
| Rawhide is the dried skin of an animal with the hair removed. It does not get conventionally tanned as a chrome or vegetable tanned leather. Rawhide is stiff and sinewy and is generally used for drumheads, drum lacing and snowshoe webbing. Rawhide is soaked in water for a short period of time, which will soften it, enabling you to work or cut it. After it dries, it will harden and shrink again, creating a firm and tight drumhead or
webbing.
Various types of rawhide are available.
We carry Buffalo, Bull, Cow, Deer, and Elk Rawhides.

the same process as the rawhide hides. It can also be soaked to
soften and then worked into products. It is excellent for drum
